Salvation Army reaches 2018 Red Kettle Campaign goal

The Salvation Army of Greenville, Pickens and Oconee raised more than $450,000 from the 2018 Red Kettle Campaign. The Salvation Army stationed kettles at more than 70 locations across the three counties, starting on Nov. 9 and ending on Christmas Eve, according to a news release.

“We are so thankful to the generous community who helped us raise over $450,000 during the Red Kettle Campaign,” Maj. Pete Costas, area commander of The Salvation Army of Greenville, Pickens and Oconee, said in the release. “We want to thank all our faithful kettle store locations, volunteers, community partners and all those who donated to a red kettle this Christmas season.”

 

Countybank Foundation donates to Ten at the Top

The Countybank Foundation, established in 1971 representing Countybank and Greenwood Capital, has donated $500 to Ten at the Top.

“Countybank has had a strong presence in the community for more than 85 years,” Ken Harper, executive vice president and COO at Countybank, said in a news release. “As a local community bank, part of our mission is to support our neighboring residents and businesses. We are excited to see the Upstate continue to flourish through organizations like Ten at the Top that promote growth and partnership.”

 

Rapid Fired Pizza Spartanburg partners with Honor Foundation

Rapid Fired Pizza Spartanburg is now open at 1707-F John B. White Sr. Blvd. During a ribbon-cutting ceremony the restaurant announced its partnership with the Honor Foundation, a transition institute created for Navy SEALs and the U.S. Special Operations community.
