Greenville-based Immedion LLC, a provider of IT infrastructure solutions which also has data centers in Columbia and North Charleston, has acquired Data Cave, a data center in Columbus, Ind. The 86,400-square-foot facility brings Immedion to eight data centers in seven markets.

Financial details of the acquisition were not made available.

“Immedion is committed to providing our customers with high-touch support and the flexibility needed to manage their increasingly complex IT infrastructure,” said Immedion CEO Frank Mobley, in a news release. “With this acquisition, customers will have access to additional colocation resources, network connectivity options and geographic redundancies to meet their current and future needs.”

Immedion’s new data center includes fully redundant HVAC systems, a 200+ mph (EF5 tornado) wind rating, card and biometric access controls, fenced perimeter gated entrance, dual fed power, multiple fiber providers with diverse connectivity paths and a designated business continuity workspace that can accommodate up to 240 people, the release said.
