Another standout building has risen along Greenville’s Reedy River.
United Community Bank has unveiled its $65 million corporate headquarters in downtown Greenville, located next to the Grand Bohemian Lodge.
The new UCB Headquarters is designed to have open, modern and light-filled spaces which will create an inviting environment that influences the occupant’s health, thinking and performance, according to a news release.
Through the WELL process, the building will focus on innovation, resources, community and management to create a unique working environment, the release sated. Members of the bank’s team will enjoy a higher air quality with advanced filtration systems including UV light filtration. Water in the building will be regularly evaluated to verify the highest standards are being maintained.
The building will offer other opportunities to engage mindfulness, movement and elevated levels of collaboration and relationship building, the release stated. The physical building materials are carefully selected to provide efficiency, thermal comfort and are environmentally responsible — all elements of the WELL process.
Greenville-based The Furman Co., the real estate developer on the project, partnered with Harper General Contractors, McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture, BPA Engineering, and RMF Engineering.
