Dominion donates to Middle Tyger Community Center

Middle Tyger Community Center in Spartanburg has received a $7,500 Critical Community Needs Grant from the Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Dominion Energy

The grant will fund equipment needed for Middle Tyger Community Center’s food pantry, supplemental fresh food for families and senior citizens served by the pantry and support a portion of a case manager to work with families in crisis, according to a news release.

“Middle Tyger Community Center is dedicated to helping families and individuals on the path to financial stability, but we also recognize that it is impossible for a person to focus on long-term change when they are hungry,” said Andrea Moore, executive director of the center, in the release. “This grant from Dominion Energy allows us to meet basic food needs while also providing resources for increased self-sufficiency.”
