The Allman Brothers’ sons play at Peace Center
The Allman Brothers band is back in town but this time, with the sons of founders Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts playing old classics and new compositions as the Allman Betts Band. Devon Allman, Duane Betts and band will play for a masked crowd at the Peace Center Concert Hall on Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $50 to $60.
Valet services return to downtown Spartanburg
Shoppers perusing downtown Spartanburg’s local wares and fares can now use a free shuttle service available from 4:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. from Thursday to Sunday. Cars can be dropped off and picked up beside The Peddler on Main Street, while visitors can ride anywhere along the stretch from the Main Street Pub to Spill the Beans on Main Street, as well as the Magnolia Street and City Hall parking lots.
An app-based shuttle service is also offered Monday through Saturday by The Valet LLC.
Tour Greenville’s backyard brewery Saturday
Quest Brewing Co. on 55 Airview Drive in Greenville will offer visitors a pint of their signature craft brews to take along on a tour of the digs. Tours run at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. every Saturday.
Gaffney Visitors Center hosts Black history exhibit
The Gaffney Visitors Center and Art Gallery will host “Portraits of Change: Black History in Cherokee County” throughout the month of February to honor Black history month. The exhibit features local trailblazers in education and public service. The exhibit will be open from Monday to Thursday at 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. until March 1.
