Nexsen Pruet law firm sponsored 50 meals from Barberitos Southwestern Grill on South Pleasantburg Drive for health care workers at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital on Tuesday.
“Honoring our health care workers is the least we can do for their sacrificial service,” Jim Warren, managing partner at Nexsen Pruet’s Greenville office, said in a news release. “Every day thousands of South Carolina health care workers serve others in the fight against COVID-19 and while putting their own lives at risk. We hope other companies will join us and Barberitos in honoring their service.”
Nexsen Pruet chose Tuesday to celebrate #GreatAmericanTakeout day, a social media movement celebrated every Tuesday, in support of the restaurant industry, as well as Cinco de Mayo. Meals included a burrito, tortilla chips with salsa, and a cookie.
“Now, more than ever, we need to rally and support each other in the Greenville community and are grateful to Nexsen Pruet,” Allan Robins, owner of the Pleasantburg Drive Barberitos, said in the release. “We are in this together and are so thankful for our amazing local medical personnel who are truly heroes right now and are giving so much of their time, energy and efforts to take care of those who have been affected by COVID-19.
Barberitos is accepting donations to aid health care professionals, doubling the meal portions financed by donations, according to the release.
