The Greenville Chamber has partnered with Scalpel Solutions Inc. to help Upstate businesses offer COVID-19 testing with discounted rates.

The program allows employees to receive test results within 12 to 48 hours starting at $55 per nasal swab test, according to a news release.

“The Greenville Chamber has long been a staunch advocate of business in the greater Greenville area,” Carlos Phillips, Chamber president and CEO, said in the release. “The chamber seeks to provide value to businesses by partnering with high quality organizations to offer in-demand services at affordable prices. One such in-demand service is that of reliable, easy-to-access COVID-19 testing with a quick turnaround of test results. Long lag times in testing results cost businesses time and money, in addition to testing costs. Our partnership with Scalpel Solutions will help save businesses both.”

Scalpel Solutions’ mobile units travel to an employee’s home or office to conduct rapid antibody testing, serum testing and nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal swab testing of COVID-19 on the employee’s schedule. Doctor’s notes or history of symptoms or exposure are not required for testing if insurance is not used, according to a news release.

In-house rapid antibody tests produce a result in within 10 minutes, while urgent swab testing cases can be retrieved in as little as six hours with an additional charge. In most cases, the tests can be administered the day of a request or the following day, according to a news release.

“I am happy to have the opportunity to work with the Greenville Chamber and its investors to provide for their laboratory and testing needs,” Dr. Frank Cioppetini, chief marketing officer of Scalpel Solutions, said in the release. “We hope that providing rapid, convenient, and high-quality testing services for COVID-19, businesses will be able to reduce the health and financial burdens brought on by this disease.”
