The expansion is still slated to reach completion at its original fall 2024 date despite delays. (Photo/Provided)The Travelers Rest plumbing equipment manufacturer T&S Brass and Bronze Works Inc. has added a 53,000-square-foot distribution space, training room and office area in the first phase of a $10.3 million expansion announced in 2019.

The construction project’s start was delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic but is expected to meet its original completion date of fall 2024 and is slated to create 22 jobs, according to a news release. The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved a $150,000 Set-Aside grant to Greenville County to assist with the costs of building construction.

“These projects enable T&S Brass to meet the growing needs of our customers in the U.S. and around the world,” Michael Williams, operations manager for T&S Brass, said in the news release. “We’re very excited about the changes and improvements that will enhance the work environment for our team while supporting the success of T&S.”

Phase two of the project, which is ongoing, will convert the former shipping and receiving dock area into additional manufacturing space to increase capacity.

“T&S Brass and Bronze Works Inc. has been a staple in the city of Travelers Rest for more than 40 years,” Travelers Rest Mayor Brandy Amidon said in the original announcement. “They care for their employees like no other and give back to their community like the biggest employer in a small town should. We are so excited to see their business thriving, and this expansion is a testament to their company values and a blessing for Travelers Rest, as we will have more first-quality jobs to offer to our community.”

Headquartered in Travelers Rest, T&S Brass developed the first pre-rinse unit in 1947 and today has facilities across the east and west coasts of the United States, as well as Shanghai, China, and Europe where the company manufacturers faucets, fittings and other specialty products for the food service, laboratory and commercial plumbing markets.
