Multi-Pack Solutions, which moved into a new building just before the COVID-19 pandemic took off in the United States, is making plans to spend another $10 million to add 75,000 more square feet to its facility at the S.C. Technology and Aviation Center.
The investment will add capacity and create more jobs, though the company did not say how many jobs.
Gov. Henry McMaster stopped by the Greenville corporate headquarters of Multi-Pack Solutions this week to take stock of the processes and products manufactured and shipped by the medical contract manufacturer.
The company moved into the $16.3 million, 125,000-square facility at S.C. TAC in December 2019.
“We’re a solutions-driven organization, 350-plus employees strong, and proud to be part of the supply chain producing a broad range of products serving the pharmaceutical, personal care and consumer markets,” John Niemi, president and CEO, said in a news release. “During the height of the pandemic, Multi-Pack quickly ramped up manufacturing for a multitude of products that supported COVID-19 pandemic recovery efforts. And now we’re growing our product lines to include life-saving emergency response products that can treat trauma, assist in surgical procedures, and improve patient outcomes. These products will be utilized by military and first responders.”
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, Multi-Pack has manufactured hard surface disinfectant wipes with a three-minute and one-minute kill claim used in hospitals, doctors’ offices and by first responders; first line of defense products for medical and over-the-counter consumer applications; and single-dose hand sanitizer amenity wipes for the travel industry.
Multi-Pack is also a packager and manufacturer of some of the most recognizable brands in the consumer, over-the-counter, medical, pharmaceutical, prescription and personal care markets.
