New apartment community opens Travelers Rest dog park to public

The Standard at Pinestone, a new apartment community in Travelers Rest, has opened a state-of-the-art dog park on at 125 Pinestone Drive.

The dog park is the city’s first and will be open to the public and pet owners in the surrounding area, open daily from dawn to dusk, according to a news release.

The Standard at Pinestone is a pet-friendly community featuring brand new one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plans furnished with modern amenities. The community and dog park offer direct walking access to Main Street Travelers Rest and the Swamp Rabbit Trail, a 22-mile multi-use recreation route that connects the city to Greenville.

“Travelers Rest is a beautiful city with amazing amenities. Our new dog park and the entire Pinestone community are walkable to Main Street Travelers Rest and the Swamp Rabbit Trail by bridge connection,” Victoria King, regional property manager for Pegasus Residential, said in the news release. Pegasus is the company overseeing property management of The Standard. “We want to let people know that the dog park is not just for our residents, but for everyone who visits the area.”

Speak for Animals, a nonprofit organization that partners with local veterinarians to offer free and low-cost spay and neuter options for animals in the Upstate, attended the event to spread the word about proper pet care and accept pet supply donations.

“We believe that any time you can do something positive for animals and bring people together, like opening a dog park, it’s wonderful for the entire community,” Susan Bufano, president of Speak for Animals, said in the release. “This new dog park provides a terrific way for people to make friends and have a great time with dogs and dog lovers.”

The Standard at Pinestone is a component of Pinestone, a diverse mixed-use development.
