The Furman Co. will break ground in the fall on Poe West, a $9.5 million, 57,000-square-foot mixed-use property in the Village of West Greenville. Originally the site of the Poe West Hardware and Supply Co. and most recently used for industrial manufacturing with a street side office building, Poe West is slated for a summer 2019 completion date.

The mixed-use building, located at 556 Perry Ave. off Pendleton Street, will be home to “a creative office, food, entertainment and educational experience,” according to a news release.

“Our team has worked tirelessly to express the planned mix of uses in a contemporary and approachable open design aesthetic,” said Robert Poppleton, development manager for the Furman Co., in the release. “Poe West pays tribute to the past, reverencing its rich history and long ties to the village, while delivering something truly unique.”

The property is 50% pre-leased. The Furman Co. will announce tenants in the next 60 days, the release said.
