Representatives from Urban Design Associates, the international urban design and architecture firm hired to develop the Greenville’s Downtown Master Plan, are in Greenville for a week-long design charrette.

On Tuesday, Nov. 6, the city will host a drop-in style Open House from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the 5th floor of Clemson ONE, located at 1 N. Main St. The public will have an opportunity to meet members of the project team and share their ideas for the future of downtown. The city will host a second drop-in style Open House on Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the same location, according to a news release.

On Thursday, Nov. 8, the project team will wrap up the charrette with a public presentation of the draft Downtown Master Plan at 6 p.m. at Clemson ONE. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation will begin at 6 p.m.

The objectives of the master plan are to attract and retain businesses, residents and visitors while ensuring the uniqueness and authenticity of downtown; position downtown for the attraction and retention of a workforce for the new economy and continue the right blend of development and redevelopment, the release said.
