Greenwood hosts Ten at the Top sponsored textile art exhibit

(Photo/Provided)“A Common Thread: Textiles Past & Present” exhibit weaves together traditional textile techniques with unconventional media including digital photography, painting, heat transfer printing, assemblage, metals and ceramics.

The exhibit, funded by a Ten at the Top-Hughes Investments Elevate Upstate Vibrancy Grant, is free for visitors to the Arts Center of Greenwood from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. every day aside from Sunday until Jan. 30. Greenwood Mills partnered with the exhibit, highlighting artists including Aline Brant, Jan-Ru Wan and Nicole McLaughlin to name a few.

The Arts and Visitors Center building is at 120 Main St., Greenwood.

Agritourism conference to tour farms across Anderson County

The S.C. Agritourism Association’s annual conference will tour seven locations across Anderson starting at 6 p.m. on Sunday to 5 p.m. on Tuesday. The tour begins at Holiday Inn Anderson, 3509 Clemson Blvd.

The conference will include a networking session on Sunday and then proceed on an educational tour to the Bart Garrison Agricultural Museum, Chattooga Bell Farm, Whispering Pines Farm, Denver Downs Farm, Walker Century Farm, Happy Cow Creamery and City Scapes Winery on Monday and Tuesday.

Tickets for the event range from $45- $150.

Greer Station hosts chocolate and wine tour

Greer Station invites sweet tooths from across the Upstate to tour 20 downtown locations featuring the work of local chocolatiers this Saturday for the “Art of Chocolate.”

The socially-distanced event, lasting 1-5 p.m., will include stops at downtown Greer restaurants, boutiques and gift shops for $20 per person. Tickets can be purchased online or in-person on the day of the event at the Plate 108’s check-in station on 108 E. Poinsett St.
