CHAP's first wine tasting will be catered by Traveling Vineyard. (Photo/Provided)It may not be this weekend, but the Cherokee County History and Arts Museum is putting the word out now.

Seating for the first CHAPS wine tasting of the year is limited to 50 seats, and the museum expects tickets for the Sept. 9 event to go fast.

Presented by Traveling Vineyard’s Haley Grant, the tasting will feature a silent gift basket auction and for early visitors, a viewing of the museum’s Twentieth Anniversary of 9/11 exhibit.

The exhibit, originally displayed in 2011, serves as a memorial to victims, their families and those who assisted on the ground, including Gaffney native Rev. Lyndon Harris, priest-in-charge at St. Paul’s Chapel at ground zero.

Tickets for the wine tasting are $20 for individuals and $160 for a table of eight. Visitors are expected to wear masks when not at their table.

Reach Molly Hulsey at 864-720-1223.
