Private Marietta address used by ‘bogus’ online retailer

Customers cruising Ziylo.com might find rubbed bronze firepits, French bulldog Bluetooth speakers of other niche goods for upwards of $50. 

Several well-staged photos accompany the lengthy item description and the offer for free shipping on all products is enticing. 

Perhaps for Upstate customers, the Marietta location offers the promise of a quicker delivery than what national online retailers have been able to offer during a year of stalled orders and supply chain shutdowns.

But once these customers eagerly open what they expect to be outdoor heaters or portable speakers, they find cheap straw visors or faux leather coin purses instead, according to a news release from the Better Business Bureau of the Upstate. Some customers receive confirmation of their purchases along with fake shipping or tracking information.

When the BBB received several complaints this year about Ziyzlo, it discovered that the 215 Talley Bridge Road address listed on the website is a private residence. They also discovered that the same website text and layout are used on three other retail sites: kitchen item marketplace Zokgoc.com, women’s clothing platform Barrye.world and children’s toy site HTENCS.com

Each website has a company history section with several variations of the following text: 

“Since its founding in 2016, Ziyzlo has been a fast growing company because we always put our customers first. A customer-centric shopping experience has always been our goal, and we pride ourselves on comprehensive policies that enable us to outperform our competitors. In Ziyzlo, we believe that life is simple, colorful and interesting. Our main focus is to help you find the best products on the market.”

Addresses listed for these online retailers are private residences in Minnesota, Texas and New York, according to the release.

Both Zokgoc.com and Zizlo.com use an “affiliate program” that allows members to earn commission by promoting these sites or product offerings on their own online marketplaces. It promises that members will earn a 5% commission off sales from customers that clicked on the shared link.
